Shuswap Winter Mittens

Make your own Shuswap mittens for Christmas with this calming crochet pattern!

Begin with your favourite worsted weight yarn and then sprinkle in a little sparkle for this holiday season. This is a quick and simple pattern that you can sit back with a warm mug of tea or hot chocolate and make for you loved ones for Christmas. There is a beautiful and minimalist stitch definition and best of all you can have completed in a couple of evenings!

This pattern was inspired by a pattern in a book called “Crochet to Calm.” I find crocheting is wonderful for my mental health and has a meditative effect as I cuddle up on the couch in the cooler months ahead.

This pattern calls for very little counting which also brings a nice calming effect. The Shuswap Mittens can be made in many colours for everyone in your family! Picture light grey and navy for your hubby or earthy browns. Neutrals for the minimalist in your family or use every colour of the chakras for the spirit seeking yogi. The possibilities are simply endless.
